Jesus Christ had a message and method
in the way he walked with God, without
residence, without working for money,
trusting God for every meal, every place
to sleep, publicly speaking up about the
things he observed.
Judging from what is written about Jesus in the Gospels, he succumbed to neither the fear of death nor the fear of survival. He had tremendous positive energy, and determination to live his destiny. He developed an understanding of his identity with God and lived it.
The life of Jesus sums up what freedom really is to me: The ability to love, to freely give, to be courageous to speak the truth, to defeat materialism by living as a pilgrim outside of the commercial system, to be humble, to be satisfied with God, instead of things, to have empathy and to be understanding of people's limitations.
